She joins the squad of paladin Roni, the embodiment of order, restraint, and monastic discipline. Everyone considers them opposites, capable only of driving each other mad. But on the very first day of their joint raid on the cursed altar, something goes wrong: the ritual spirals out of control, blood and magic mix, and the fear of death pulls them together in a single, fiery touch.
